Episode 23

How To Trust Your Gut In Life And Business

Published on: 14th November, 2024

Welcome to this episode of the Creative on the Grind podcast! I’m your host, DeAndra Jalisa, creative business educator, mentor, and designer. Today, we’re diving into the powerful role of intuition in life and business—how to recognize it, trust it, and use it as a guide for authentic decision-making.

What You’ll Learn:

What Intuition Really Feels Like

  • Intuition often comes as a calm, confident sense of “knowing,” unlike the anxious, chaotic energy of fear or doubt. Learn how to recognize this feeling and tune into it.

Building Trust with Your Gut

  • Trusting yourself starts with small steps. Take low-risk actions based on your gut feelings, and build confidence over time. I share examples of how these small decisions helped me learn to rely on my intuition.

Balancing Intuition with Logic in Business

  • In business, intuition can be as valuable as data. I discuss how combining both can lead to better decisions, whether choosing new ideas, partnerships, or next steps for growth.

Learning from Unexpected Outcomes

  • Not every intuitive decision works out as planned, but each choice helps you grow and realign. I share personal stories of when trusting my gut led me in new directions that ultimately benefited my journey.

Key Takeaways:

  • Intuition feels calm and confident, while fear feels chaotic. Recognizing this difference is key to building self-trust.
  • Start by trusting your gut on small, everyday choices, and work up to bigger decisions.
  • Use intuition alongside logic for a well-rounded approach to business.
  • Every outcome, even unexpected ones, helps strengthen your intuition and guides you on your path.

Final Thoughts:

Trusting your gut helps you make more authentic decisions in life and business, shaping a path that aligns with who you truly are. Remember, it’s a muscle—you’ll get stronger the more you use it. Stay true to yourself, and let intuition guide you.
